Biography

Having done his MBBS in India, Dr Palani (as he is  known to his patients and colleagues) trained first in ENT surgery and obtained the FRCS (Otolaryngology) diploma in 1995.

 

Dr Palaniappan subsequently began training in Audiovestibular Medicine (AVM), because of his long-standing interest and passion in hearing and balance disorders.He has had a very broad and well-structured training in diagnostic and rehabilitative Audiovestibular Medicine, at some of the major teaching hospitals in London.

Dr Palaniappan now has more than 30 years experience in managing patients with dizziness, tinnitus and hearing impairment at one of the leading centres for Audiovestibular Medicine.

Dr Palaniappan had been Training Programme Director for the speciality for two terms prior to handing over the reigns. He has trained and taught the younger generation of doctors and audiologists over many years, ensuring standards are maintained at the highest levels. 

Dr Arun Pajaniappane

Biography

Dr Pajaniappane is a medical consultant at one of the UK's largest Audiovestibular medicine units. With a special interest in dizziness, he has gained huge experience having treated hundreds of patients. His research interests include vestibular migraine. He also sees patients with hearing loss & tinnitus for medical investigations and advising on management.
 
Dr Pajaniappane qualified from the prestigious Royal Free & University College London Medical School in 2000. Having initially trained in ENT surgery (otolaryngology) and, after successfully obtaining qualifications from the Royal College Surgeons of England (MRCS & DOHNS), he furthered his interest and passion for hearing and balance disorders,  obtaining a Master's degree in Audiovestibular Medicine with Merit from University College London.
 
With sound theoretical and research foundations from his further studies, Dr Pajaniappane brings up to date evidence based practice in the care of all his patients. 
 
Dr Pajaniappane enjoys treating both children and adults having gained his experience in major London teaching hospitals such as Great Ormond Street Hospital.
